Kyzikos (BC 460-400) EL Stater

5th-4th century BC. EL Stater (16.15g, 16mm,). Perseus, nude but for cloak tied around neck, kneeling right, head left, holding harpa and [head of the Medusa]; below, tunny right / Quadripartite incuse square. Good VF, lightly toned. Wonderful mythological type. Ex Hans von Aulock Coll; Hess-Leu 11 (3/1959), lot 246; R. Jameson Coll. (not in published part).
