Mallos (BC 385-333) Stater

ca 385-333 BC. AR Stater (10.65g). Bearded head of Herakles right, lion's skin tied around neck / Head of Persian satrap right, wearing Persian headdress, ΜΑΛ to left. Nice EF, beautifully engraved dies. Ex the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Sotheby's, 11/1972), lot 627; Montagu Collection (Sotheby, 3/1896), lot 657.
