Antoninus Pius, 138-161 AD. AE29 (12.73g, 6h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / TON/KTICTHN in two lines across fields, NIKAIEIC in exergue, Statue of Dionysus seated left, resting hand on panther standing to left behind him and holding thyrsus, set on car drawn by two elephants. VF, black patina, minor roughness. Rare. Ex Malter 81 (9/2002), lot 417 (expertly conserved since).
