Hadrian, 117-138 AD. AR Cistophoric Tetradrachm (11.12g). Smyrna mint, struck after 129 AD. Bare head right / Zeus seated left, holding Diana Ephesia and sceptre; eagle at feet before. Lightly toned VF. Overstruck on a cistophorus of Augustus, Sutherland Group V (a). Ex Numismatica Ars Classica L (5/2001), lot 1842.
