Tarsos (AD 238-244) AE 36 - Gordian III

Gordian III, 238-244 AD. AE36 (27.11g). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Two figures standing behind garlanded altar, before which lies a humped bull, figure on right holds large round shield; tall statue of Apollo Lyceius between them; to right, Perseus standing left, holding phiale and harpa; to left Demeter standing right, holding two lit torches pointed towards Apollo Lyceius. About very fine.
