Mytilene (BC 160) Tetradrachm

ca 160 BC. AR Tetradrachm (15.84g). Laureate head of Zeus Ammon right / ΜΥΤΙΛΗ-ΝΑΩΝ, herm of Dionysos facing, wearing polos; monogram on either side, all within wreath. A superb portrait of late Hellenistic style. Traces of double striking on obverse, otherwise gVF. Extremely rare.
