ca 521-478 BC. EL Hekte (2.54g, 9mm). Forepart of bull running right / Incuse head of roaring lion right, incuse punches behind. VF. Carr coll.

This emission is previously unknown. The combination of forepart of bull with incuse head of roaring lion are noted by Bodenstedt as M1, M2, M4 and M5. This coin has the obverse and reverse figures facing right - unknown to Bodenstedt and unpublished in other standard references. Currently there are no die matches for either obverse or reverse.
