Kition (BC 479-449) Obol - Baalmelek I

5th-early 4th century BC. AR Obol (0.79g, 4h). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin headdress / Lion standing left, Y H(?) above. aEF. Apparently the second known example.

The cataloguer of the CNG example noted the similarity in style to Cypriot issues; the presence on this example of a partial legend does not yet help to clarify the identity of the issuer.
