Caracalla. 193-211 AD. AE37 (19.81g, 6h). AVP A[NT] - AVPH KAI ΘЄ - CЄ - B NЄ PLAV[TIΛΛAN], radiate, cuirassed and draped bust to right facing draped bust; countermark in centre, head Athena in Attic helmet right; below, square countermark, ΘЄOY / CTPATONЄIKЄΩN ЄΠI - TΩN - ΠЄPT B KΛ [ΔIONVCION], Zeus Panamaros riding on horseback to right holding scepter in left; to the right, burning altar. Very fine. Ex Karl coll.
