Alexandreia (AD 180-192) AE 24 - Commodus

Commodus, as Caesar, 178-180 AD. AE24 (8.78g). ANTONINVS COMMODO CAES, bearded head right. COL AVG TROAD, statue of Apollo Smintheus in himation standing facing on small cippus, quiver over right shoulder, holding bow in left hand and sacrificing from patera in right hand over flaming tripod. Very rare. Red brown patina, good very fine.
