Nikaia (AD 238-244) AE 33 - Gordian III

Gordian III, 238-244 AD. AE33 / Hectassarion (18.23g, 2h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust left, seen from front, holding spear forward and shield decorated with aegis / Heracles reclining left on lion right, extending hand to Victory with arms raised kneeling right at knee, and holding club. VF, black-green patina with olive green overtones. Very rare reverse type.
