Septimius Severus, 193-211 AD. AE32 (20.76g). AΥT K Λ CЄΠ CЄOΥHΡOC ΠЄ, laureate and cuirassed bust to right, seen from behind / ΠΩΓΛЄΩN, cult statue of Artemis Pergaia between two stars; all within distyle aedicula. Very rare. gVF/ VF. Righetti Coll.; ex CNG 303 (5/2013), lot 227 (misattributed to Perge and expertly cleaned since, revealing that the "heavy cleaning scratches on reverse" were in the deposits only).
