Timbriada (AD 193-217) AE 23 - Julia Domna

Julia Domna, Augusta, 193-217 AD. AE23 (5.76g, 6h). ΙΟΥΛ ΔΟΜΝΑ CΕΒ, draped bust right / ΤΙΜΒΡΙΑΝUΝ ΑΡΧ ΜΜΟΜΙ (sic), Tyche standing left, holding rudder and cornucopiae. VF.

Unpublished in the standard references including: H. von Aulock, Münzen und Städte Pisidiens (2 Vols, Tübingen, 1977) and K. Kraft, Das System Der kaiserzeitlichen Münzprägung in Kleinasien (Berlin, 1972). Though spelled Timbrianun (sic) on the reverse of this coin, this can only be the mint of Timbriada, Pisidia. The archon MMOMI is also unrecorded in the standard literature.
