Phokaia (BC 477-388) B- - EL 1/6 Stater

ca 478-387 BC. EL Hekte (2.51g, 9mm). Laureate head of Zeus left, small seal upwards to right / Quadripartite incuse. Toned, gVF. Carr coll.

This is unlisted in Bodenstedt, but cf. Em. 76 describes 2 examples of a similar portrait without laurel wreath. Two other examples are known from auctions – Roma III, lot 209 and Roma XI, lot 321, both same dies.
