ca 521-478 BC. EL Hekte (10mm, 2.57g). Facing head of Silenos with wide, open eyes, broad beard and long mustache, seal left / Quadripartite incuse square punch. Typical compact flan. VF. Carr coll.; ex. Laurent F coll. sold through private sale by cgf.fr.

9 examples noted by Bodenstedt, 5 of which are in museums (Cambridge, London, Berlin, Karlsruhe [2]). A further 54 are known, from a variety of different dies. This example a die match only to Leu Auc. 13 (1975), lot 237.
