Commodus, 177-192 AD. AE41 (38.97g, 11h). Dated CY 234 (187/8 AD). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right; countermark: Victory standing left on globe within circular incuse / Athena Nicephorus standing left; to left, goat, with head reverted, kneeling left; Δ ΛC (date) across field. Fine, black-green patina with earthen overtones, some minor flan splits, some roughness. Second known example. Krizan Coll.; ex CNG 53 (3/2000), lot 1128.
