Ionia Uncertain (BC 650-600) EL 1/4 Stater

ca 650-600 BC. EL 1/4 Stater (3.67g). Milesian standard. Striated type. Flattened "haphazard" striated surface / Cleft and incuse punch. Good VF. Unpublished, possibly unique. The striated type appears to encompass two varieties, one with roughly parallel striations on the obverse, as the previous three lots, or haphazard striations, as here and on the following lot.
