Abydos (BC 175-70) Tetradrachm

ca 175-75 BC. AR Tetradrachm (31mm, 15.10g, 12h). Stephanephoric type. Iphiados, magistrate. Draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver over shoulder / Eagle, wings spread, standing right; to right, star above radiate head of Helios right; Î™Î¦Î™Î‘Î”ÎŸÎ¥ below; all within wreath. Good VF, toned, minor area of flat strike. Rare. Winokur Coll.; Ex Glendining (4/1970), lot 142.
