Abydos (BC 320-200) AE 23

ca 300-250 BC. AE23 (8.15g), small dies. Turreted head of Artemis right, bow and quiver under chin / Eagle standing right on thunderbolt, head turned left; grain ear before. Overstruck on a larger Abydos of same type, but with aplustre before eagle. Nice VF, glossy dark brown patina. Well centered. Freedman Coll.
