Uncertain (BC 440-390) Star - Hemiobol 3

5th century BC. AR Hemiobol (7mm, 0.28g). Helmeted head of Athena right / Star of four rays; pellets between rays; all within circular incuse. VF, toned. Scarce.

Types of this and the previous lot (CNG Elec. Auc. 287 Lot 217) are missing from the the major published collections but appear on the market from time to time. Changes in style indicate they must have been struck over a considerable time.
