ca 360-340 BC. AE (0.64g). Head of Helios with nimbus right / Rosebud, M-E. Dark green patina, VF. Rare. R. Mueller coll.; ex Popken coll.; Aufhauser Auc. 10 (München, 1993), lot 203; Kuenker Auc. 133 (Osnabrück, 2007), lot 7613.

Ashton, in his study, suggests a localization in the vicinity of the Dardanelles and links this issue to the two Rhodian brothers Memnon and Mentor, who served ca 360-330 as satrap and commander of mercenaries in the service of Persian kings.
