Karia Uncertain (BC 480-450) Obol

ca 5th cent BC. AR Diobol (1.19g, 8mm). Facing scalp of panther / Head of bull right within incuse square. gVF.

Though some hemidrachms from Samos feature a facing panther/bull head in profile, the weight of this piece is assuredly well below a hemidrachm and the style, especially of the bull, is much more similar to the uncertain 'bull' issues from Caria.
