Uncertain (AD 117-138) Cistophoric Tetradrachm - Hadrian

Hadrian, 117-138 AD. AR Cistophoric Tetradrachm (10.64g, 7h). Mint B. Struck after 128 AD. AVGVSTVS HADRIANVS [P] P P, bare head right / MON AVG, Moneta standing left, holding scales and sceptre. VF, slight scratch in obverse field. Overstruck on a cistophorus of Augustus, Sutherland Group VI. Unique. It appears that the engraver of the obverse die originally placed the first P in P P before Hadrian's neck, but then erased it in the die and engraved both letters below the bust.
