Septimius Severus, 193-211 AD. AE32 (19.32g, 1h). Dated CY 241 (209/10 AD). [AYT K ]Λ CЄΠΤ - CЄOYH[POC CЄ], laureate, cuirassed and draped bust right; countermark: Capricorn right / [AMICOY ЄΛ]ЄVΘЄΡ-ΑC in field left, ЄT / CMA (date); River god Thermodon, half naked, reclining left, holding double-axe in his right arm and reed in right hand; in exergue, ΘЄPMΩΔΩΝ; below, rocks and water. Nice dark green-brown patina. Extremely rare. gVF. Ex F. Sternberg Zurich 1987.
