Time of Mithradates VI Eupator, ca 85-65 BC. AE23 (6.75g, 1h). Head of Mên or Mithras right, wearing Phrygian cap / ZHΛITΩN, rooster with crescent on neck standing right; E to upper left; APE monogram to lower right. Extremely rare and of great interest. Beautiful glossy dark patina. Minor areas of weakness, otherwise VF.
