Sinope (BC 520-480) Drachm

ca 490-425 BC. AR Drachm (15mm, 5.82g). Head of sea-eagle left with 'talon' and dolphin below (both off flan here); c/m: male head left within round incuse / Quadripartite incuse square with two opposing quarters filled, the others stippled and with pellet. An interesting issue with a charming countermark. Test cut on the obverse, otherwise VF.
