Hadrian, 117-138 AD. AE21 (5.88g). ΑΥΤΟ ΚΑΙΣ ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟC CΕΒ, laureate head right / Legend in four lines (ΚΑΙC ΤΠΡΤ ΑΡΓΑΙΩ ΕΤ Β) within wreath. ET B = RY2 (118/119 AD).

Rare smaller dated denominational unit from Caesarea. M. Armandry of the BNF indicates only five reported examples of this type (1/2012). The inscription means Kais(areôn) T(ôn) P(ros) T(ô) Argaiô: coinage of the inhabitants of Caesarea which is close to Mt Argaeus.
