Gordian III, 238-244 AD. AE33 (23.19g). Laureate bust right. / Emperor seated on platform, attendant behind. Liberitas in front pouring money out of "money shaker", citizen below holding out for money. Very rare. VF. An interesting type of Gordian III visit to the East. It belongs with the other large coins commemorating his visit to the region.
