(BC 380-360) Perikle - Stater

Perikle, Dynast, ca 380-360 BC. AR Stater (9.76g, 12h), struck circa 380-375 BC. Laureate and draped bust of Perikles facing slightly left / Warrior, nude but for crested Corinthian helmet, fighting to right with shield and sword; Lycian triskeles to lower right; all within incuse square. Virtually as struck, some light striking weakness on nose and chin. Ex Triton VII (1/2004), lot 287.
