Mylasa (AD 129) Cistophoric Tetradrachm - Hadrian

Hadrian, 117-138 AD. AR Cistophoric Tetradrachm (10.52g), Mylasa mint, struck after 129 AD. Bare head right / Cult statue of Zeus Labraundos standing facing, holding double axe (labrys) and spear; fillets hang from wrists to ground as supports. Toned VF, light porosity. Overstruck on a cistophorus of Augustus, Sutherland Group III (g). Ex von Aulock Collection, 6616.
