Kos (BC 285-258) Tetradrachm

ca 285-258 BC. AR Tetradrachm (15.07g, 6h). Timolykos, magistrate. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / Κ−ΩΙΟ−Ν, crab; ΤΙΜΟΛΥΚΟΣ and bow and quiver below; all in dotted square within shallow incuse. Good VF, attractively toned. Choice surfaces. Ex Triton V (1/2002), lot 1449 ($3,200).
