Antiocheia (BC 150) Tetradrachm

ca 165-145 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 15.66g, 1h). Tryphon Kar..., magistrate. Laureate head of Zeus right / ANTIOXEÎ©N TPYÎ¦Î©N KAP[...], eagle, wings closed, standing left on thunderbolt; behind, thyrsos; all within maeander pattern. Apparently unpublished. A beautifully toned example of superb style. Dark horn silver, otherwise, gVF.
