Tralleis (AD 238-244) AE 33 - Gordian III

Gordian III, 238-244 AD. AE33 (22.10g, 12h). Philippus Centarianus, grammateus. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / The Abduction of Persephone: Hades in galloping quadriga right, carrying off Persephone. Near VF, brown surfaces, some minor pitting on reverse. Rare. Possibly RPC 487.6 (thus ex Kimpel 25 (3/1969), #1998), although we cannot confirm.
