Caracalla, 198-217 AD. AE45 - Medallion (41.52g, 6h). Helenos, the son of Apollonides, first archon for the second time. â€¢ AV â€¢ KAI â€¢ M â€¢ AV ANTÎ©NÐ„IN OC â€¢, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Ð„Î I Ð„Î›Ð„NOV A Î OÎ›Î›ONIÎ”OV AP A T B around, CIÎ›ANÎ”Ð„/Î©N in two lines in exergue, Caracalla, laureate and togate, standing right, holding volumen in left hand and clasping right hands with Geta standing left, bareheaded and togate. Good VF, black-green with hard earthen overtones, hard green deposits on lower portion of bust, a few minor scratches on reverse. Apparently unique for this ruler from this city.
