Ionia Uncertain (BC 600-550) leg - EL 1/24

a 600-550 BC. EL 1/24 Stater (6mm, 0.67g). Leg and shoulder (of stag?) / Incuse punch of mill-sail pattern. VF. Extremely rare.

The exact nature of this design is not known, but it has the strong appearance of an animal's shoulder and leg, the hair on the lower part of the leg being highly evident on this example.
