Miletos (BC 175-85) Tetradrachm

ca 2nd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.70g). Krateros and Ouliades, magistrates. Laureate head of Apollo right / Lion walking right, head reverted; star above, ΚΡΑΤΕΡΟΣ to right, ΟΥΛΙΑΔΗΣ below. Good VF. Rare type and unrecorded with this combination of magistrate names. Drewry Coll.; Ex Pegasi 113 (5/1999), lot 112.

Deppert-Lippitz records both of these magistrates for this issue, but not paired together. ΟΥΛΙΑΔΗΣ is recorded on varieties 760 and 761, while ΚΡΑΤΕΡΟΣ is recorded on variety 763.
