ca 480 BC. AR Drachm (4.69g). Naked youth running beside horse galloping left, holding bridle, crescent and pellet design below groundline / E-P-Y-Θ, floral rosette with twelve petals. Lovely old cabinet tone, very fine and with an excellent pedigree. Halliwell Coll.; ex Pozzi coll., Naville I, Lucerne (4/1921), lot 2443; ex Lockett coll, Glendining’s (2/1961), lot 2296.
