Q. Caecilius Metellus Pius Scipio, as Imperator, ca 49/48 BC. AR Cistophoric Tetradrachm (26mm, 12.30g). Cista mystica with serpent; all within ivy wreath / Q. METELLVS PIVS SCIPIO IMPER, serpents entwined around legionary aquila; monogram left. VF, lightly toned. Rare.
