Septimius Severus, 193-211 AD. AE38 (23.74g). Fl. Ba. Prokles. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / EΠI APC ΦΛ BA ΠP-OKΛOY / ABYΔHN, Leander accompanied by dolphins, swimming in the Hellespont towards a turret, from which Hero hold out a lighted lamp. Very rare. Interesting mythological depiction. Black green patina.
